Back and better than ever! Lancerlot Sports Complex proudly announces the “The Town of Vinton Dog Days of Summer” event. A fun-filled event for your four-legged friend to “cool off” this extremely hot summer!
Lancerlot Sports Complex (aka “The Lot”) welcomes back the “Town of Vinton Dog Days of Summer” event which will take place on Saturday, August 27th from 2:00pm – 5:00pm. This will be a free community event open to the public, especially all those with dogs, or those who are thinking about adopting a dog.
As in year’s past, Lancerlot will host a dog adopt-a-thon in conjunction with Angels of Assisi, Salem SPCA, Regional Center for Animal Care & Protection and Virginia German Shepherd Rescue. In addition to the adopt-a-thon, we will openly provide to the general public the coolest activities for pooches. They will turn their full regulation sized ice rink into a cool dog park and open their outdoor swimming pool for dogs and their owners only. Over 20 animal vendors will be on-site providing free services, offering door prizes and more! What better way to let your best friend beat the extreme heat during these dog days of summer by chilling out at coolest place around!
We would like to thank their title sponsor, The Town of Vinton, and their co-sponsors, Freedom First Credit Union, Oakey’s Pet Funeral Home & Crematory and Noah’s Ark Animal Complex for their support of the event.
